ON-SITE TRAINING

Following the development and subsequent FDNY approval of your Building’s Comprehensive Fire Safety Emergency Action Plan, DSSI will follow up with extensive On-Site Training for your Building’s Staff, Wardens, Deputy Wardens and Searchers.

This extensive training is conducted by experienced former FDNY Firefighters. This training will be in a classroom environment where the trainers will review the following topics, along with many others, to ensure that everyone understands their roles during Fire and Non-Fire Emergencies:

  • Emergency Action Plan Training
  • Fire Safety Procedures and Plan Execution
  • Organizing the EAP Brigade
  • Training Individual Staff Responsibilities
  • Sheltering Procedures
  • Evacuation Procedures
  • Tabletop Exercises
  • Emergency Equipment Use Training.

During training sessions, the instructors will answer questions and provide additional information regarding Staff, Occupant and Resident Safety, and explain the best practices to follow under the many emergency scenarios that will be reviewed.

As FDNY mandates new training requirements, DSSI will organize on-site training to bring Staff up-to-speed on the required subject matter.
